Iberia Parish

Blue crabs are an important part of the Louisiana economy and a staple along the coast. While commercial fishermen provide a bountiful yield of blue crab for local restaurants and markets, recreational fishermen also enjoy catching crabs for their own use for the dining pleasure of their family and friends.

Each year, the International Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo is a fishing tournament held during the last weekend in July,  with this year’s dates being Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28. To those living in the state of Louisiana, the Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo is known as being one giant block party, with plenty of music, live entertainment and great food.
